Lisa Hernandez

Lisa Hernandez serves carreñogroup as its Communications Director and Editor & Chief of Texas Politica.com.  An accomplished writer, Hernandez has authored a multitude of articles, editorials and speeches, regularly providing media commentary on Latino politics and culture.

An educator, artist, voting rights activist and public relations professional, Lisa has directed community outreach projects to increase political participation for more than 20 years. She has served on local, state and national campaign staffs providing grassroots consulting, voter outreach efforts, media planning, event coordination, fundraising and message and audience development for women and communities of color throughout Texas and the southwest United States.

Lisa served as Coordinator for the Tax Assessor-Collector of Harris County, the nation’s third largest county with 1.8 million registered voters. She created internal and external communications, e-government outreach and conducted countless voter registration and education campaigns in addition to “Voterthons” with the state’s largest television station.
